BCBSQ

A BCBSQ Column base connects a wood post to a concrete pad. It is fabricated using a steel strap formed into a “u” shape, with a 1″ stand off base pad. The bottom of the “u” is embedded into concrete. Designed to install with (7) 1/4″ x 2″ SDS screws on each side. Additional corrosion protection is available if ordered hot dip galvanized or in stainless steel.

  2. 3" MINIMUM CONCRETE EDGE DISTANCE IS REQUIRED
  3. LOADS MAY BE LIMITED BY OTHER FACTORS SUCH AS COLUMN CAPACITY. DESIGNER RESPONSIBLE FOR COLUMN DESIGN
  4. ALL "SDS" SCREWS ARE TO BE SDS 1/4"x2" WITH (Fyb=164 ksi)
  5. NO INCREASE IN DOWN LOADS IS ALLOWED FOR SHORT TERM LOADING
